I’m one of those people who find vintage pin-up girls alluring. Their outfits always speak for wittiness and as for me, these girls were probably the pioneer of the now thriving color-blocking trend as well as the pattern craze.
During the 1950s, posters of pin-up girls graced all the bunk rooms of the American soldiers who were fighting for honor during World War II. These posters were the “simple happiness” of the soldiers who were then exposed to bloodshed and sadism. However, people (I guess jealous girlfriends;)) predicted that these posters would be just another set of fleeting eye candies.
Oh well, they’re right. You won’t see pin-up posters anymore because the girls have moved on. They’re now gracing cosmetics down to accessories.
This makes me want to share one of my pin-up purchases – the Dream Cream Bath Set.
It’s a four-combination set that includes Sugar Coated Candy Apple Scrub, Strawberry Milkshake Bath, Vanilla Cheesecake Lotion, and Strawberry Milk Shake Cream. I didn’t expect to see this pretty set from Watson’s racks so I think I purchased five sets. :D
-The cream and lotion really moisturize the skin well.
-It’s a steal for 200 bucks (originally priced at 400 bucks but since its Watson’s clearance sale, they gave away the whole set for 50-percent off)!
CONS:
-The scrub doesn’t perform its exfoliating job well. It’s just a transparent gel with little amounts of “scrubbers”.-I don’t know if it’s really a con but the scents of the four bottles are so sweet that they make my stomach grumble. The Cheesecake Lotion’s my personal favorite for it really reminds me of freshly-baked pastries. Mmm!
Thanks for visiting me!♥
